Chapati or dhosai are simply part of my breakfast diet. One of the best I ever had was served in Air India while I was on a trip to Delhi. This time in Chennai or Madras formerly, it was real good to have served with the southern indian food made for maharajas.
At Park Sheraton Hotel & Tower, the one and only Dakshin restaurant is a must for those who worship good food. I was told that once a head of state from the middle east landed in Chennai for the sole purpose of having his meal at Dakshin. I was there almost midnight when the host invited us in. Food were served in small portions and unfortunately I was not qualified to explain in crisp details about how good the food was
but let me just simply say that that the food was heavenly. Something you do not wish to miss if you are in Chennai. I was indeed without much guilt walking into Dakshin for a meal eventhough I was bit full from earlier snacks taken.
Towards the end on my trip to Chennai, I walked into the plane minus my computer notebook. My core 2 duo notebook went missing right in front of the security guards! It was unfortunate that while the guards were busy checking and scanning the passengers, someone picked up my notebook and dissapeared. The airport guards were helpful trying hard to figure out what to do with me with the missing notebook. Probably it was easier to solve this problem by sending me to the plane as it is about to depart soon. And that was exactly what really happened in the end. The kind and helpful staff from Sheraton never gave up and is still pursuing to get what is due to me even though I was already back and landed well and safe in KL.
Park Sheraton Hotel & Tower at T.T.K. Road is the most hospitable place I ever experienced. Congratulations!
For breakfast don’t forget to try murg tikka makhanwala ..!
